Urban Piano started as a POC in late 2020 during the Covid pandemic. Several music shops had closed in the area during this time making it more difficult for people to acquire instruments.. 

 

A few years earlier I had purchased my own keyboard in an attempt to rekindle music from my youth. I was going through a challenging time in my life and found playing very therapeutic. As I became more obsessed I began collecting all types and testing new models, I quickly found myself surrounded by pianos and had an idea that I could rent them to others who might be trapped at home during lock downs, or might not otherwise have the chance to play. The first several pianos flew off the shelf and I began to grow the business little by little.

Today we have well over 75 pianos available with most rented at any given time, I've met some amazing people along the way. I'm blessed and thankful for this opportunity to share music.
